MAGIC SQUARE OF 4×4: (Part 2 of 2): Odds Versus Evens.
The Magic Square of 4×4 has many properties that sum to 34. Though there exists other hidden forms of symmetry. One of the interesting facts about this particular Magic Square of 4×4 attributed to Jupiter, is the comparison of its Odd and Even Numbers. The Internal Symmetry of the Magic Square of 4×4 reveals that the Pattern for The Odds is identical to the Pattern for the Evens, when we join the numbers in these specific orders: 1-3-5-7-9-11-13-15 for The Odds, and 2-4-6-8-10-12-14-16 for The Evens. For both Odds and Evens, it is necessary to connect the last number or Omega, to the first number or Alpha, which effectively closes the copper-like circuit so that the Yantra’s energy can flow forever. On close examination, The Pattern for The Odds is at a 180 degree rotation to the Pattern for The Evens.
MAGIC SQUARE OF 3×3: Phi-Pentacle Connection:
Did you know that when you draw the pattern for the Lo-Shu or Magic Square of 3×3, in contains 2 large triangles that are actually in the Phi Ratio, meaning that these 2 Golden Phi Isosceles Triangles (if base is 1 unit then the 2 other sides are both 1.618…) fit exactly into the 5-Pointed Star or Pentagram. This is another occurrence of the Trinity expressing itself in 5ive-ness which suggests the Trinity has connections to the Phi Ratio (1:1.618…). The Golden Phi Isosceles Triangle naturally exists in the Lo-Shu Pattern. This makes the statement that Magic Squares are related to the Divine Proportion and is therefore at the Heart of Creation). The other discovery or realization is the
MAGIC SQUARE of 4×4: Inherits into its HEART the Magic Square of 3×3.
Here is another very strange link between the Magic Square of 3×3 and the Magic Square of 4×4. The Magic Square of 3×3 (rotated 4 times forming the 8-Pointed Gold Star is based on the Phi Ratio) is genetically inherited into the centre of the Magic Square of 4×4. Two totally different Magic Squares, yet the 3 is genetically absorbed into the 4. Since the first possible Magic Square that can ever be created is the 3×3, this act of inheritance indicates it has the behaviour of a Seed Crystal.
Lo Shu Tessellation in Magic Squares
Near Perfect Golden Diamonds or Phi Rhombi in the Lo-Shu Tessellation. The above diagrams are formed by tiling 9 Magic Square of 3×3 at 0° Yantra Pattern (ie: as it is without any rotated super-impositions) side by side, with the condition that each successive or alternate pattern is tiled at a tilt of 90°. I have coloured in all the near perfect Phi Triangles such that they appear like diamonds or rhombi, thus the appropriate name: Phi Diamonds or Golden Diamonds or Golden Rhombus or Phi Rhombi. Meditation upon the negative space reveals 8-pointed Maltese-like Crosses and octagonal structures. The Magic Square of 3×3 or Lo-Shu Pattern @ 0 degree has 2 elongated triangles in its pattern, that is very close to being a Golden Phi Triangle. If it was precise, the Phi Triangle would have an apex of 36° but upon calculation it is 36.86° which is less than 1 degree off precision. In this case for artistic purposes, I will call it a Phi Triangle but noting that it is an approximation to this ideal form. Referring this to being Golden Triangles is a matter of artistic appreciation, rather than rigorous mathematical precision. (This angle can be easily calculated because the longest lines in the diagram are based on Root 5, being the hypotenuse or diagonal of a right-triangle whose lesser lengths are 1×2. The exact Isosceles Phi Triangle has a ratio of its base to its side lengths in the proportion of 1:1.618… and the approximated Phi Triangle in the Lo-Shu pattern has its proportion in this ratio of Root 5 ÷ Root 2 = 2.236…÷ 1.414 = 1.581…).

Do you have solution for 10 by 10 magic squares?
Hi Eric, I have a good collection of Magic Squares of 10 x 10, collected over 40 years, plus there are heaps on the internet,
my main interest was to turn number into art, but unfortunately, I have not ever found one amazingly symmetrical magic square of 10…
whereas all the other numbers from 3 to 12 are specular in their symmetries…
This is part of our quest, to know why this is so, or that there is a hidden 10×10 gem hiding out there, waiting to be discovered.
If you want me to send you a few, best to email me on jain@jain108.com and I will send.
